A New Day: Burgundy Velvet Dress

It’s hard to stay away from velvet right now. It’s everywhere! I personally love this trend. I have a pair of velvet slides that I wear almost every day. This burgundy velvet dress I found from Target is the perfect addition to my wardrobe!

While I don’t dress up like this often, I love having affordable pieces that look much more expensive than they actually are. I couldn’t believe I found this dress for under $20. It looks like a piece that’d have a much bigger price tag!

I decided to keep this look simple and paired it with the famous Steve Madden Stecy sandals. These were a Christmas gift from my mom! I can already tell they are going to be a regular in the rotation. I love how versatile they are—they can go from winter to spring so easily!

I love the holidays. For some reason, it’s even more fun to get dressed this time of year too. I’ve always been a fan of simple style and colors, like black, white, neutrals, etc., but I really like throwing in fun textures like lace and tassels to create even more holiday style.

I wore the look above to work this week on the final day before Christmas break. I like how flowy (and forgiving) this Michael Kors top is too, especially during this time of the year!

I recently received this Tory Burch Whitney watch and I’m in love. I’ve always leaned towards bigger boyfriend-style watches, so this style was a nice departure from my current watch collection. It’s the perfect size and I love the gorgeous shape of the case.

This Tory Burch Thea bag is one of my favorite bags I own. Every time I wear it, I get compliments. (I am planning to do a post in the next month on how to find designer bags at an affordable price!)
