A New Day: Burgundy Velvet Dress

It’s hard to stay away from velvet right now. It’s everywhere! I personally love this trend. I have a pair of velvet slides that I wear almost every day. This burgundy velvet dress I found from Target is the perfect addition to my wardrobe!

While I don’t dress up like this often, I love having affordable pieces that look much more expensive than they actually are. I couldn’t believe I found this dress for under $20. It looks like a piece that’d have a much bigger price tag!

I decided to keep this look simple and paired it with the famous Steve Madden Stecy sandals. These were a Christmas gift from my mom! I can already tell they are going to be a regular in the rotation. I love how versatile they are—they can go from winter to spring so easily!

Happy Friday, y’all! For this month’s splurge or save, I’m sharing some of my favorite “trend” shoes. I have had my eye on these Stella McCartney platform oxford shoes since they first came out, but couldn’t justify spending that much on a shoe that’s somewhat of a trend. The other day I was buying some spring clothing on SheIn and saw these exact dupes for under $40. I immediately threw them in my cart with no hesitation! I can already tell you these will be on heavy rotation throughout spring and summer paired with shorts and dresses.

Several girls at my work own these Gucci slip ons and they are so cute. I’ve seen them worn a lot with cropped jeans or black cropped pants. Throw on a top tie top or bell-sleeved shirt and you’re all set!

Finally, how cute are these pom pom sneakers? I am planning to buy myself the Target pair soon! This style is a major trend right now (pom poms are everywhere!), but not one I’d be willing to spend much on. But for $30, I would totally buy these to wear with denim shorts and a cute tee for an adorable look.
