Pretty In Pink Lace

I love a good peplum top. I think they are so flattering in the mid section and I love the feminine touch of the peplum ruffles. This lace peplum top from Halogen takes the femininity to the next level. I love everything about this top from the color to the feminine detailing.

When I was styling this in my head, I thought I would pair it with brown or nude shoes and a brown bag, but after trying it on with black accessories, I loved the contrast and touch of edge it adds to the look.

Many of you have probably seen these shoes all over (or at least a similar pair). I love that this pair is under $30 at Target and they’ve held up great (I’ve had them over a year now). They are available in several different colors, including taupe, which I love.

This Michael Kors Black IP Lake watch is also a favorite of mine. My husband calls it my faux-Apple watch because the shape is so similar. I really like the square shape and blacked-out look. It can be dressed up or down, depending on the day.

And last but not least is this black clutch from Bp. This bag is only $25, but feels so much more expensive. It’s also the perfect size to carry just the essentials—small wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and lipstick.

I hope this look helped inspire some of you to pair feminine looks with a bit of edge to balance it out a little.

Fall Floral Babydoll Dress

During the fall months, I love wearing long sleeve dresses to work like this Hinge babydoll dress. Not only are they super comfortable, they’re a great way to transition from summer to fall. I particularly love the light colors of this dress. It has tones that are dark enough for fall, but it’s breezy enough for spring for sure!

For a feminine look, I paired this dress with my favorite pair of nude sandals. I love these shoes because they help elongate the legs of short girls like myself! (I am 5’2″) You can see how I styled these sandals here too. This look would also be perfect for a nice date night or for Sunday church!

Floral Ruffle Bodysuit

I love wearing my tops tucked into jeans. As a petite person, it can be overwhelming to wear a blouse untucked, especially a looser one. Having my top tucked in makes my whole look much cleaner and more put together.

The bodysuit makes this so easy and ensures my top doesn’t come untucked! This ruffle bodysuit from Astr is a perfect example. I love pairing bodysuit with looser jeans that create some balance between the top and bottom.

I’ve also been trying to incorporate more “neutrals” into my wardrobe as we transition from summer to fall. I love the color of this top — and the floral pattern and ruffles make it so feminine! I hope this look inspired some of you to take the plunge when it comes to bodysuits!
