Plum Yoga Dallas

Do you ever have those weeks where you feel mentally and physically exhausted by the time the weekend arrives? That’s how the past few weeks have been for me! A lot of traveling, craziness at the office and busy weeknights have left me feeling very stretched thin. So when I got invited to attend a Plum Yoga class, I couldn’t wait.

As runners, it’s easy to stick to what we know: running. However, our bodies tend to tell us when we need to take a break, both physically and mentally, and incorporate other workouts into our routine. Since I’ve been running since I was 13 years old (yes, it’s been 16 years), I like to take time off from running every now and then so I don’t burn out. Right now, I’m focusing on exploring other workouts and have seen my body respond to that!

Anyway, sorry for the tangent. Back to yoga.

As soon as I arrived at Plum Yoga Dallas last weekend, I knew it was in the perfect location: smack dab in the middle of Greenville Avenue (right by Steel City Pops for you Dallas people!). This area is always busy, even when I arrived for my class at 8:30 am.

Plum Yoga Dallas is all about community. With a gorgeous tea and coffee house at the front of their studio, it’s the perfect place to relax after a class.

Their tea is incredible. I highly recommend the “Namaste, Y’all.”

Several of their teas come iced as well, which is great for us iced tea addicts in Texas!

There are two studios inside Plum Yoga Dallas: one for traditional yoga (pictured first) and another for more contemporary workouts (pictured second).

Since I attended a Vinyasa yoga class, I was in the traditional yoga room. This class was truly challenging. I’ve taken my fair share of yoga classes and truly have never worked so hard and felt so good afterward. There were only five of us in the class, so I felt like space was very appropriate and we were able to spread out. The studio was warm, so I was able to sweat out toxins while working out, which I appreciated.

At the end of the class, we took plenty of time to relax and recharge, which is my favorite part of any yoga class. Finding balance in our busy schedules is so crucial and yoga is one of the most natural and beneficial ways to do this.

After the class, I took time to look around at the retail section of the studio.

I truly felt amazing after my experience at Plum Yoga Dallas. Whether I am looking for a mental or physical workout, this is my new go-to. If you have any questions about my workout or the studio, I’d love to hear from you!
